Twin Peaks

Well, my favorite TV show has come to an end.  I'm feeling sort of alone and empty without my favorite characters.

Twin Peaks first aired on network television in 1990.  It ran for two seasons.  I loved the protagonist: Agent Cooper, a young and handsome FBI agent who came to the small Washington town of Twin Peaks to investigate the death of local homecoming queen, Laura Palmer.  He loved coffee and cherry pie.  He solved crimes using his dreams and intuition, as well as his intellect.  He was quirky and strange and TV had never known a character like him before.

Here's a funny mashup/photoshoppy thing I found of Agent Cooper.  When asked how he liked his coffee, he said, "Black as midnight on a moonless night." See why I love him?!

In 2017, Twin Peaks: The Return came out on Showtime, and I've been watching every Sunday night for the past 18 weeks. Twenty five years later they made a sequel! Most of the same characters came back to be on it.  Unfortunately, David Bowie died (sniff, sniff) before he could play his old character of Philip Jeffries.  But they turned him into a giant talking steampunk teakettle (yep, I just said that).

It's the strangest show on TV, ever. And I love it.  My husband can't watch it.  He's just like, "I don't get it."

Now at night I'm trying to figure out what to watch.  Nothing seems interesting.  Every show I try to watch is boring.

Oh well..... hey, at least I have Stranger Things to look forward to in about a month!  And more characters I love.....

Do you have any TV characters you love?  I mean really, really love?

I can relate to this, my favorite tv show is one season from being over, I will be disappointed when it's over. I honestly don't know what I'm going to watch when it's over.
