I Fooled You

My profile used to show that I am a peace loving hippie. Haha that was not the truth I was trying to trick you! And it worked. I do not believe that peace could ever happen in this world. People are going to sin and the world needs to learn, no matter how many safe spaces there are that isn't going to change. I am actually a very strong willed conservative that would gladly give his life for this country!

The Human Mind Is Like A River

The human mind is like a river

Lost always
Soon to be found always
Indescribable.

Free but trapped
Trapped on by the limits of the banks
Once taken away from the flow
No longer a river
No matter how it's rearranged.

Free by the laws of the universe
Never permanently hurt
No matter how it's
Crushed.

Glistening but never knowing it's own beauty.

Tortured by human kind that so fondly and naturally pollutes it
But it never weakens and just learns to flow stronger.

So easily held captive but never trapped.

Imprinted on easier than how it naturally knows how to flow.

Dangerous beyond reason, powerful but never understanding
If ever understood the world would crumble under the power.

Life Is Like a River

Life is like a river because it is full of joy and wonders.
It never stops.
You can block it or take it,
but it will never be out of your life.

Life is like a river

Life is like a river...
Cold yet satisfying
Its natural beauty has its flaws too
Life is like a river...
Its windy, few bumps in the road
The word "River" has a ring to it, like LIFE.
Life is like a river...
A bittersweet tragedy
Its cold touch is like those nights you spend by yourself, but you like it, you like being alone
Life is like a river...
The best thing that could possibly happen
Life is like a river...
No words could possibly describe it, because they're all so different
Life is like a river...

Hello People

Hello people

Hello people of Earth. Is it cold down there. No, well it must be weird down there. I remember earth a long time ago. It was a place of black and white. A world that was just beginning. The 50's. The Eiffel tower was at the world fair, and so many other things, like blimps. They also had swing music.

Man do I love swing music.

Now a days the world is crap. There's so much blood and violence.
Well... your world sucks.

Thank you for getting us through those two days of testing.
I appreciate you ever so much!

I don't know why

playing in the water
 or
writing in your journals
Just this one
I don't know why

Home Game

Yesterday, we won our volleyball game. Everyone was super happy. Our team is great! We had a lot of great plays and did very well. Noelle had a really good spike! You should see us at the next home game!

Pickle Rick

To start off, I think everyone should see the Pickle Rick episode of Rick and Morty. I personally think it's the best episode of Rick and Morty because Rick turns himself into a pickle to get out of family counseling.

As he then rolls down into a sewer he then gets stuck down there. So he constructs arms and legs out of a rat that he kills. Then he starts to kill all the other rats in there. Lastly, he comes out of a toilet in a Mexican prison, and he has to escape so kills all the guards and escapes in a helicopter. Meanwhile, the whole prison is being blown up.

Sick Week

I was sick once. I had to miss two weeks of track. It sucked.

Mac and Cheese

Last night I stayed at my friend's house. We had pizza, ice cream, and mac and cheese. We share our favorite foods together. Hers is pizza and mine is mac and cheese. I almost ate all of the mac and cheese by myself. Clearly I had a good time eating food at my friend's house.

Neat writing

I'm sure this'll be fun. I'll probably be posting poems and short stories on here. Probably things with deep meanings or just for chuckles. I'm excited for this year and being able to see everyone's writing!

POEMS AND STORIES

I love to make poems and short stories. When I do this I get a sense of happiness. This happiness will provide more influence to make more stories. Thus a whole blog of  stories and poems.

Twin Peaks

Well, my favorite TV show has come to an end.  I'm feeling sort of alone and empty without my favorite characters.

Twin Peaks first aired on network television in 1990.  It ran for two seasons.  I loved the protagonist: Agent Cooper, a young and handsome FBI agent who came to the small Washington town of Twin Peaks to investigate the death of local homecoming queen, Laura Palmer.  He loved coffee and cherry pie.  He solved crimes using his dreams and intuition, as well as his intellect.  He was quirky and strange and TV had never known a character like him before.

Here's a funny mashup/photoshoppy thing I found of Agent Cooper.  When asked how he liked his coffee, he said, "Black as midnight on a moonless night." See why I love him?!

In 2017, Twin Peaks: The Return came out on Showtime, and I've been watching every Sunday night for the past 18 weeks. Twenty five years later they made a sequel! Most of the same characters came back to be on it.  Unfortunately, David Bowie died (sniff, sniff) before he could play his old character of Philip Jeffries.  But they turned him into a giant talking steampunk teakettle (yep, I just said that).

It's the strangest show on TV, ever. And I love it.  My husband can't watch it.  He's just like, "I don't get it."

Now at night I'm trying to figure out what to watch.  Nothing seems interesting.  Every show I try to watch is boring.

Oh well..... hey, at least I have Stranger Things to look forward to in about a month!  And more characters I love.....

Do you have any TV characters you love?  I mean really, really love?

Life

Life is like a river because no one moment can be repeated. Life is like a river because you only have one chance to do something great or terrible. That one moment could slip away in the blink of an eye.

Life is super fragile and it could break at any second, life is a beautiful thing because lives are taken and given every day. Everything is made by someone with a life, designed, invented, named, nothing in this world has been left unturned or left alone. Life is the best thing in the world.

I'm me

Dear friends and people of the L.A. class this is going to be a great year because I'm myself and that's enough. It's enough that I can be myself and I can see that things will get better and I'm myself because I know that my life means things to people. I know that my life means something to people because my I'm one of those people that my life means to.

It means something to me that I live, I have a chance to be who I am and live my life as me. I know that there's people out there that can literally kill me for being my every day me but I don't care because I'm me and that's enough.

Quotes of my favorite movies

“The garbage’ll do!” — Rey from The Force Awakens

“There’s always a bigger fish.” — Qui-Gon Jinn from The Phantom Menace

“Never tell me the odds.” —Han Solo from The Empire Strikes Back

Peace

I think peace should be a general ideology. I don't like it when people think war is ok! My role models are Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Al Gore. I don't like Donald Trump, I think he is a racist, sexist, homophobe. I think that Hillary would've done a much better job!

Questions of life

Galan Aliase
Sept-10-17

If the Big Bang theory is correct, was essence existed before the explosion if it created all living and non-living essence? Only few will ever know the real answer.

Hope we have the best year

I hope that we all have the best year and can really write some good stuff on this blog. I am really looking forward to the rest of the year and having a good time. Finally, the last thing that I am looking forward to, is me having a few nice posts by the end of the year.

To start here is what I wrote for my "Life is Like a River":

Life is like a river because you are always moving, and you never stop. Eventually you will get into a bigger area and you can be free. There will be obstacles, but you will just go right around them just like accidents in life.

Not Defined - A Haiku

You're not defined by
your color, clothes, past, or sex
You define yourself.

I think this will be a good year

This will be a good year as long as we don't let technology get the best of us. I'm already having fun in this class with the journals and adventures.

The Hike

Yesterday, I went on a hike at Red Rock's Canyon Open Space. It was really fun, and I stopped a ton of times to take pictures of Garden of the Gods and Red Rock's Canyon. I got a little bit scared that I would get lost - but we found our way! I will definitely go hiking there again....

We even saw a lizard!!

Just a little something

Well, I hope so far we're all having a good time in Ms. Spengler's class. And we can post some amazing writing on this blog. Let's make this the best blog we can.
I will write to the best of my ability and write some pretty funny things and make you the readers laugh.

Trusting

I love music and singing. I also love talking about my cats and other random things. I love to watch shows that were on Broadway. My dream is to watch a Broadway show in real life. I also love to watch the middle school plays because they are just so funny.

Welcome

Hello, Students -

If you're reading this right now, it means you're in my first block class.
I already know it's going to be a great year.
Because this:

OMG you guys are hilarious.  And unique.  I mean, what an interesting group of humans, right?!

Anyway, so here is your blog.  It's just a virtual space where you can share your writings with each other... your short stories, poems, essays (yes, essays.  An essay is just a wonderfully organized way of sharing what you know about something.  Your hobby speech, for example, was actually an essay, was it not?), ideas, and even feelings if you want.  You just gotta be real.  Have some fun.  Let other people see your talents.  And you'll get to do this all with a pseudonym, which is pretty cool.

Your blog is like an online magazine/newspaper/journal/arts thing with many people contributing to its success.  It's a creative, collaborative project. I am the publisher.  You are the authors.

Oh, and I really should warn you:

At some point, you'll get really frustrated with technology.  Just accept this fact, so that when it happens to you (and it will, you can trust me on that), you can roll with it.

To get the most out of blogging, however, you have to be curious about exploring its potential.  There are a lot of cool buttons that do cool things, but I'm not going to teach them all to you because I would like you to just experiment with them.  You can't really do anything wrong.  (Well, except not save your work).

If you learn a cool trick, tell someone else about it.  If someone asks a question and you know the answer, tell them.  Even better, show them how to do it.  But don't do it for them.

And please remember this:  Once you hit the publish button, anyone in the world will be able to read what you have written.

Which means it's pretty dang important for you to also write with thoughtful spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

(We want people to know that we are grammar nerds and super smart, got it?)

So welcome.

I'm glad we're all here.

Let's get this party started, shall we?

Assignment #1 (required):

In the comments, write a response to my post.  ("response", of course,  is just a fancy Englishteachery way of saying "comment").

Anything you want to write is awesome.

Assignment #2 (optional):

If you are a detail-oriented person with a pretty good grasp on the rules of the English language,  I desperately need you. Please consider becoming an editor-in-chief.
You can pick up an application from the back counter.
